The geology of the site contained high level rock which influenced the design to create under croft car parking. The design of footings and suspended services have also been carefully planned to minimise site excavation. From the ground up the structure is in-situ footings and columns and then traditionally reinforced slabs and load bearing masonry. The roof structure is light weight with metal roof sheeting. Acoustic engineers were appointed in early design and the building envelope has been carefully designed to ensure all internal spaces exceed all statutory requirements for acoustics to increase livability and quality at VIVID. |
