Safety
Blackwatch Projects advocates a safe work environment on all projects we undertake and complies with the relevant state regulations. All personnel on our projects are suitably inducted into the safety program. Our company has a detailed “Company Safety Policy” along with site specific safety plans, which are updated and audited monthly by our Occupational Workplace Health and Safety Manager.
Industrial Relations
Through our membership of the Master Builder’s Association, Blackwatch Projects are acquainted with, and respondent, to the specific requirements for all relevant awards. Industrial relations management is regarded as the prime consideration for our construction team and we recognise that successful commercial results can only be achieved when we act to create a co-operative industrial relations environment on each of our sites.

Blackwatch Projects has a unique policy in relation to subcontractors and suppliers.
We take a partnering approach with our subcontractors and suppliers and have developed very strong working relationships with many well-regarded subcontracting companies. Our philosophy is that subcontractors and suppliers are the cornerstone of any good construction project, so we pride ourselves on being fair and reasonable and a builder of choice by subcontractors.
Our efficient management and coordination of projects ensures that pricing is more competitive, as subcontractors do not have to account for risk in their price for mismanaged sites, late payments and loss of efficiency through poor coordination.
Quality Management Systems ensure your project is a success
Blackwatch Projects has developed and operates under a Quality Management System. This ensures that our staff work to a consistent set of standards, ensuring that we can provide you with a quality result every time, regardless of the complexity of the project.
This system was not specifically developed to gain Third Party Accreditation, but more to achieve the ideals of Quality Assurance, including:
- Continual Improvement
- Quality through Management
- Customer Satisfaction
- Standardisation and Consistency of Delivery
The company has also developed a Site Specific Project Quality Plan. This plan is managed and developed by the project team as the ‘guide and bible’ to the successful delivery of the project. This plan identifies staff, roles, quality control, document control etc.
The company also has a comprehensive Workplace Health and Safety Plan which requires a Site Specific Safety Plan to be developed for every project identifying risk and safe working practices. This plan is developed between the Project Manager, WHSO and Site Manager. All visitors to site and subcontractors are required to undertake a Site Specific Site Induction. Blackwatch Projects has a faultless Safety record.
Blackwatch Projects has also developed an Environmental Management Policy. This policy identifies the application, organisation and responsibilities as well as specific aspects such as Acid Sulphate Soils, Unidentified Service Protection, Sediment and Erosion Control, Waste Management, Noise, Air Quality etc.
