Station 16 is a contemporary 10-storey mixed use residential apartment building located in the cultural and entertainment district of Merivale Street, South Brisbane. The project was a design and construct project for Aria Property Group.

The development has responded to the desirable location by providing a podium level of retail/commercial tenancies to interact and activate the street level.  It consists of 65 modern apartments, offering a mix of both one and two bedroom lay-outs.  The interiors are functionally designed, with contemporary, high quality finishes including solid surface countertops, laminate joinery, ceramic tile and carpet flooring, and European appliances.

The challenging small site resulted in an efficient three level underground basement and central core design, podium to four levels with a six storey tower above. Reflective floor plates repeat throughout the tower design. A gym and pool are added recreational facilities for use by the tenants.

The building’s design incorporates a suspended concrete slab, load bearing blockwork, glazing and shading elements, which not only add to the building design, but also to the building’s efficiency.
