All personnel on our projects are suitably inducted into the safety program. Our company has a detailed “Company Safety Policy” along with site-specific safety plans, which are updated and audited monthly by our Occupational Workplace Health and Safety consultants.
Licensing
Queensland Building and Construction Commission
The Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) is a statutory authority established under the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991 (QBCC Act) and is part of the portfolio of the Minister for Housing and Public Works. The purpose of this regulatory authority is to improve the standards, equity and confidence in the building industry. Any contractors performing building work valued over $3,300 must hold a QBCC licence, and as such Blackwatch Projects holds an Open Unrestricted Builder Licence. This means Blackwatch Projects has met all the regulatory requirements to construct all classifications of buildings/structures as defined in the Building Code of Australia. Blackwatch Projects has held a QBCC Licence since 2000, and is deemed Category 6 as defined in the AATO classification, having an allowable turnover of $135 Million.
